Taekwondo is a Martial Art – a discipline.  We believe that Taekwondo can have positive impacts on many areas of a person’s life, if applied well.  Taekwondo can impact not only our physical health, but it can improve our focus, discipline, self-control, and self-confidence.  We believe in teaching all aspects of Taekwondo in their entirety – poomsae (patterns), kicking techniques, blocking and striking techniques, as well as kyorugi (sparring – combat).  We focus on all of these areas, as black belts are expected to have a holistic understanding of Taekwondo as a Martial Art – and respect must be at the center of our training: respect for ourselves, for our training partners, fellow students and opponents, and for the Master and Instructors.
